Something to ponder……

There are so many ways to think about life and everyone has their own unique opinion…..but I came across something today that consumed my thoughts for a while… I thought I’d share…

There are some of us who believe in several lives, some who think that these lives have an effect on our future lives….and even  moreso- think that all of these lives have a greater purpose. That every conversation, every person, every day fueled the goal of our higher purpose….

But what about the possibility that we choose our lives before we come here?

SO, here is my thought….even when you are going through a rough time in your life, maybe WORSE than rough…maybe youre dealing with horrible trauma or your “mid process” with something very painful…the human side of us feels the pain or the sadness or the anger with the situation, it’s normal.  But what about the ‘being” inside the ‘human being” ? What if the being can look at this horrible deck you have as a hand of opportunity? Shouldn’t we listen to and honor that side as well? My thought is that if we planned our lives ahead of time, wouldn’t we give ourselves something that we can learn and grow from? If you believe in God or whatever you choose to call Him or Her…would God really let you set yourself up for something that you are not supposed to recover from? Or are these lessons that we are presented with, no matter how big or how small, meant to be processed and perservered?  So for whatever it is that night be holding you back in your life-try to find the “being” inside of you that can help you process it- if you ask- and then listen- you just might be able to see, even for a split second, that you are not meant to be stuck permanently. But youre are really meant to dive in, work through and succeed past what is holding you back. What if?????????

True Self

It seems that these days people are finding themselves on a path to spirituality more than ever.  But really…what does that mean? I feel its different and the same for everyone. I believe, we all have this “true self” inside of us and I have learned from myself and my clients that the more we hide or push our true selves away, the more unhappy or restless our lives become. For whatever reason, it seems easier to just “go with the flow” or “do what everyone else is doing” rather than take a step and see what its like to do our own things. Usually its fear. Fear of the unknown, fear of what others will think. But the funny thing is, your true self is always there no matter what you do. It actually takes more work than we realize to push our true selves away. It can manifest in so many different ways…smoking, drinking, over eating and countless ways of self distruction. So my message to you today is this….think about something- just 1 thing that will help you get 1 step closer to your true self. It doesn’t have to be something major…umless you want it to be…and put it into motion. Don’t try to do…just do it. It can be as simple as just making a decision and just going for it…see what the reprocussions are of freeing yourself and your energy of holding your true self back….and let the rest of the world know and benefit from the amazing person who you really and truly are !

29 Day Giving Challenge

Last September I learned about something that changed my life. It showed me what can happen in and how you can “change your frequency in your life” by simply giving to another person. I learned about a movement called “29-Day Giving Challenge” which was started by Cami Walker and has become a worldwide phenomenon reaching 38 countries. Cami’s original goal was to have 2000 people by 9/29/08 to commit to 29 consecutive days of giving. One thing per day – anything you want, no matter how big or little it is. Whether it’s a flower or 10 dozen flowers, whether it’s a simple smile or holding a door for someone, lending your ear to a friend- it’s a give. And to do these things and hopefully more as your commitment progresses – with an open heart and mindfulness really does change your life. It has certainly changed mine and thousands of others all over the world who have participated. I am now in the beginning of Round 3 and I am so happy to be back and a part of something so amazing. I look forward to ‘kicking it up a notch” in my second half of this round and this is where the fun begins! I challenge you my friends- to challenge yourself. Amazing things will happen in your life- I can promise you that. Visit www.29gifts.org today to find out more about it! And don’t forget to look me up as well !

Gratitude

Well it seems fitting that today with the launch of my new and improved website that my first blog be about gratitude.  I have so much gratitude and thanks, this would be the perfect time and place to express it.  I will do my best to work in chronological order- I am grateful first and foremost that I have found my true path in life. It has been an incredible journey. I am so grateful for my amazing husband that has supported me since day one. He might not get exactly what I do or how I do it but his help and support mean the world to me. I am grateful also to my family and friends who also have supported me and encouraged me tremendously. Your interest and words of confidence speak volumes for what you feel about me and I am truly grateful. I am grateful for the schooling that I did at the NY Hypnosis Center with Jeffrey Cohen and Paul Aurand and the great group of girls that were in the class as well. Truly an amazing experience for all of us. I also thank Bryn Blankinship. She as well as Paul and Jeff have allowed me to pick their brains and run things past them (as they said they would) since the class has ended and I appreciate it more than words can say. Your input is valuable to me, beyond words. To Jeanne Icolari at Hand of Serenity Healing- who has been an incredible mentor to me.  I did my very first Hypnosis session with Jeanne and we have been on an incredible path ever since! I am grateful for obtaining my Past life Regression Certification thru Carol Denicker at the North Shore Hypnosis Center. Another great class and life changing exploration at the end! I will definitely never forget that one.  There is no way I could forget to mention the great people at The Birchwood Center- Betsy, Charlene and Roz for always going out of their way to be so accommodating. It is truly a pleasure and an honor to be able to work in such a great space and an even better atmosphere.

You will see in my blogs to come information that relate to hypnosis, positive thinking, gratitude, affirmations, food for thought and anything that I find that would be positive and want to share. Feel free to leave your comments- I would be interested to see them……

With gratitude,

Denise
